Skydive Greene County offers first-time skydivers the ability to make their first jump by tandem skydiving. Tandem Skydiving is an exhilarating, easy, low stress way to make your first jump and the most widely used method across the United States.

A tandem skydive involves you being harnessed to one of our highly trained and skilled tandem instructors . Since your tandem instructor has all of the knowledge to allow you to have a complete and successful skydive, little training is required from you before taking that first jump! So how do you do it? It's simple!

First call us at (937) 372-0700 or come on down to our dropzone located at 177 S. Monroe Siding Rd in Xenia, Ohio (Visit here for directions) Though we welcome walk-ins, we urge you to call ahead to be sure we can accommodate you the day you plan to jump!

 On the day of the jump, come on down and look for  our manifest staff who will quickly get you a waiver to fill out and a short video to watch about safety, equipment, and what to expect on your jump.  Once you are finished with your waiver, return it to manifest, pay for your skydive (Want video to remember your jump forever? Be sure to tell manifest this now so we can invite along one of our great videographers!) and she will then link you up with an instructor who will get you all trained up and ready to go. Our instructor will then fit you with a jumpsuit and harness, discuss jump procedures, and answer any questions you may have. That's it! Before you know it, you'll be on the plane taking off and enjoying the view out the window of the beautiful, scenic Xenia and surrounding area. After just a little while inside our airplane you will be fully attached to your instructor, watch some other jumpers exit the plane, and then exit yourself (somewhere between 10,000 and 13,000 feet-depending on the aircraft) and freefall with your instructor for approximately 45-60 seconds. We can almost guarantee this will be the most exciting minute of your life as you reach speeds of over 120 mph as you fall the nearly 2 miles back to Earth! When you reach the appropriate altitude, your instructor will deploy your a parachute made for two people and you will glide to the landing air-taking in the beautiful sites along the way. Under parachute your instructor will review landing with you and you will assist him or her on some fun turns and practice preparation for landing. Once you are ready to land, your instructor will have you assist them in flaring the canopy to slow it down and your feet will return to the ground.

 Once back at the ground you may say wow! Can I do that again?  Our reply will be, of course! And we will send you back to manifest to speak to manifest about our second jump specials. We also offer a full 10 level program designed to get you licensed and jumping by yourself. But just how are you going to remember that spectacular jump that was a rush of a lifetime-something you never want to forget? Don't be caught wondering that AFTER your jump. You can invite along one of our great videographers before you even board the airplane. Our videographers will put together a 7-12 minute professionally edited video of your jump put to music and can even snap some pictures along the way as well! Many of our videographers have had their pictures featured in national magazines such as Parachutist and Skydiving! Our videos include pre- and post- jump interviews, the ride to altitude, and of course - your freefall! We also try to incorporate as much of your canopy ride (especially the landing) as possible. Make sure to tell manifest that you are interested in a video of your jump or a video AND high quality digital still pictures. That way you can not only watch your VHS or DVD over and over again, but you can also bring the pictures to show when there is no VCR or DVD player around!
